5 New Piercings is a staged intervention presented to the viewer in the form of a video installation.
On entering the space viewers watch a two-minute close-up video showing the artist cutting 5 holes in a series of walls. Each cut has a different shape. Alongside this video work, 5 pieces of cardboard and dust sheets are taped against the walls of the space, covering what seem to be the locations of the cuts. Underneath each dust sheet are piles of debris.
